Plantopedia is a botanical reference app providing plant identification, health diagnosis, a plant library, herbalist's journal, and related educational content. All identification and diagnosis features are powered by AI and are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
The content in this App, including plant identification results, edibility ratings, medicinal uses, and health diagnoses, is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional botanical, medical, nutritional, or foraging advice. Never consume, handle, or use any plant based solely on this App's output. Always verify with a qualified expert, printed field guide, or licensed healthcare provider. Plantopedia expressly disclaims any liability for harm resulting from reliance on App content.
Plantopedia offers in-app purchases including one-time purchases (Field Guide) and auto-renewing subscriptions (Botanist, Field Pro). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. One-time purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple — visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Scan credits purchased through the App are non-expiring one-time credits associated with your device. They are not subscriptions and do not renew. Credits are non-refundable once used. Free tier users receive a demo scan only and must upgrade to a paid plan to access AI-powered plant identification.
Content you create within the App — including journal entries, foraging spots, custom plants, and remedy notes — is stored locally on your device. You retain ownership of this content. Plantopedia does not transmit or store user journal data on its servers.
All content provided by Plantopedia, including botanical illustrations, plant database entries, App design, and software, is owned by or licensed to Plantopedia and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without written permission.
Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy and within the App. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Plantopedia does not warrant that plant identifications are accurate, complete, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plantopedia shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including any harm resulting from plant identification errors, foraging decisions, or reliance on App content.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made.
